KK was born on 23 August 1968 in Delhi. KK married his childhood love Jyothy Lakshmi Krishna in 1991. Jyothy is a painter by profession and even has her own website, www.jyothylakshmikrishna.com.

KK and Jyothy have two children, Nakul Krishna Kunnath and Taamara Kunnath. Nakul Krishna Kunnath is a talented vocalist, guitarist, music producer, and music composer. In 2020, Nakul submitted a self-composed music score to the Westworld Scoring Competition, a music competition.

KK Career
KK starts his career as a salesman. He worked for 3 months as a salesman. After that, he pursues his singing career. He got his first break in music in 1994. His first album Pal was released in 1999. He also won a star screen award for his album Pal.
He records songs in numerous languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali. KK performed at many concerts at international and national levels.

KK died on 31 May 2022, during concert organized by Gurudas College at Kolkata. The doctor attributed his death to Cardiac Arrest.
